Israel's recent escalation of violence in Lebanon has led to extensive destruction. Infrastructure, farms, and historical and natural sites, particularly near the border with Israel, have been affected.
This week, Israeli airstrikes persisted for a third day, hitting Hezbollah-held areas in Beirut early Thursday after overnight bombardments. Five people were killed in the towns of Bazourieh and Jumayjimah as a result of the strikes.
Over 1.2 million people have been displaced in Lebanon. According to Lebanon’s health ministry, Israeli attacks have claimed at least 3,365 lives and injured 14,344 across the country since October 7. International parties call for an immediate de-escalation as the war rages on and threatens to spread throughout the region.
